East Bay Tire Announces Expansion of Proprietary Dawg Pound Tires Brand To Include Radial OTR Tire and Premium Commercial Truck Tires

Fairfield, CA (July 24, 2015)—East Bay Tire Co. (EBT), a leading wholesale and commercial tire dealer, announced today the expansion of the Dawg Pound Tires brand which is known for its diverse array of construction, industrial, and agricultural tires and tire products. Manufactured exclusively for EBT, the brand’s expansion includes a new radial OTR tire, the Rock Dawg® Radial, one of the most requested tires in the Dawg Pound line up, as well as, premium TBR tires.

“Due to the brand’s overwhelming success and demand in the market, adding these premium tires was a natural next step for the line,” said East Bay Tire CEO, George Pehanick. “We took our time researching manufacturers to partner with and are pleased to have found one that is a great fit for our company, and who is also focused on maintaining the highest levels of quality and performance for these new products,” he added.

The new Rock Dawg® Radial features a wear and cut resistant tread compound, fortified tapered tread for more even wear and is suitable for loaders and articulated dumper. Available in a variety of sizes, the new radial OTR has a 2-star ply rating and self-cleaning tread design.

The Commercial Truck Tires are diverse and offer modern and efficient tread designs, superior traction and maneuverability, and are backed by a two-cap retread warranty and generous casing allowance; select tire sizes are Smartway approved.

Launched in 1994, the Dawg Pound Tires brand has developed a strong reputation and a loyal following in the tire industry. “Known widely for being tough, reliable, and cost-effective, Dawg Pound Tires has evolved into a global brand competing at the level of some of the top name brands in the world,” stated John Hulsey, East Bay Tire Wholesale general manager.
